About the Station

The Horseheads Fire Department is located near the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York.  The department services approximately 8,000 residents in the four-square miles of the Village of Horseheads providing Fire, Rescue and EMS services. The members of the Fire Department work closely with other mutail aid companies to provide the village and surrounding town residents and visitors with emergency services, while utilizing an angine, rescue pumper, quint, and tower ladder along with EMS unit.  The station is located at 134 North Main Street, near historic Hanover Square in the Village of Horseheads.  The Horseheads Fire Department responds to approximately 750 calls annually, with call volume increasing 20% over the last five years.  Current membership includes 30 active volunteer members, with 26 holding SCBA certifications.
